Located on 182 acres the Resort is in the Wairakei Thermal Valley. We have a 9 hole golf course, Tennis courts, Squash Court, two Thermally Heated Swimming Pools and large open spaces to enjoy.

Directions

Driving direction from airport/railway: At the Airport Roundabout take the State Highway 1 bypass around Taupo. At the Roundabout for State Highway 1 and 5 take a first left turn to head towards Taupo. Wairakei Resort is on the left 2 minutes after the Roundabout. Opposite the BP Petrol Station. From the Airport take the Eastern Rd out to State Highway 1 via Manukau. Drive south on State Highway 1 via Huntly, Taupiri, East past Hamilton Rejoin State Highway 1 at Cambridge and continue south via Tirau, Putaruru, Tokoroa At the Roundabout for State Highway 1 and 5 take a right turn (3rd exit) to head towards Taupo. Wairakei Resort is on the left 2 minutes after the Roundabout. Opposite the BP Petrol Station. Take State Highway 1 North travelling via Levin, Foxton, Hunterville, Taihape. Join the Desert Road at Waiouru via the South Eastern side of Mt Ruapehu in the Tongariro National Park. At Turangi continue on State Highway 1 on the Eastern side of Lake Taupo towards Taupo. At the Airport Roundabout take the State Highway 1 bypass around Taupo. At the Roundabout for State Highway 1 and 5 take a first left turn to head towards Taupo. Wairakei Resort is on the left 2 minutes after the Roundabout. Driving from city center to the hotel: Drive north on the Thermal Explorer Highway 7 minutes past Wairakei International Golf Course - the Resort is on the Right
