The University Lodge is located in the quaint New England town of Amherst. The hotel is situated near Amherst College Hampshire College University of Massachusetts and downtown Amherst. The hotel is 100pct nonsmoking and offers convenient parking just outside your room. The University Lodge is the perfect hotel for travelling without a car as UMass and downtown Amherst are both within walking distance. Enjoy a sporting event at Warren McGuirk Alumni Stadium or an Off-Broadway show at the Mullins Center. PLEASE NOTE The office is open from 8am to 9pm daily with a 24 hour answering service. Those arriving after 900pm should check in at Howard Johnson 401 Russell Street Route 9 in Hadley MA. Howard Johnson does not provide shuttle service. At the 7th traffic light turn left onto South Pleasant St at the 3rd traffic light turn left onto North Pleasant St. The hotel is the 2nd driveway on the right. General Edward Lawrence Logan Intl Airport Follow the signs for I-90 Massachusetts Turnpike. Take I-90 W to exit 8 MA-32/US-20/Palmer/Amherst. Merge onto Palmer/Ware take right at Thorndike then take right at N.Main Street and turn left at Depot Street. Continue onto MA-181 N then to Main St./US-202 N then slight left onto MA-9 W.
