FROM EL SALER BEACH, 5 MINUTES FROM THE VALENCIA TRADE FAIR CENTER. 10 KMS, FROM EL BOSQUE GOLF CLUB. IN 1967 A VALENCIAN CONTRACTOR OPENED UP A RESTAURANT CALLED THE AZAFATA CLUB SELECTING ONLY THE BEST AVAILABLE STAFF AT THAT TIME. THE OPENING WAS ON THE 1ST MAY 1967. OUR RESTAURANT AND THE FORMER RESTAURANTE VIVEROS BECAME THE MOST PRESTIGIOUS IN THE REGION. IN 1972 THE FOUNDER, TOGETHER WITH VARIOUS VALENCIAN BUSINESSMEN, DECIDED TO FORM A COMPANY NAMED AZAFATA, S.A. WHICH OPENED IN OCTOBER 1974. ON THE 1ST JANUARY 1978 SOL MELIA (FORMERLY HOTELES MALLORQUINES)TOOK OVER THE MANAGEMENT OF THE HOTEL RUNNING IT TOGETHER WHIT THE ORIGINAL OWNER FOR THE NETX 22 YEARS.
