The West Inn was established in 2003 The West Inn Kauai is located in Waimea Hawaii on the island of Kauai. Locally owned and operated this NEW hotel provides clean cozy hotel rooms and suites and is one of only 2 hotels on the west side. Our central location directly across from the Historic Waimea Theater and just steps from the ocean is within easy walking distance of all Waimea Town businesses. Historic Waimea Town on the west side of Kauai is where Captain Cook first landed and discovered Hawaii just blocks from our location. The road to Waimea Canyon also known as the Grand Canyon of the Pacific is the most visited tourist destination on Kauai and the road to the canyon is less than a block from our property. Just 20 minutes down the road is Polihale Beach Park the largest beach in all of Hawaii followed by the famous Napali Coast which is accessible only by boat. If you want to take a boat tour we are only 10 minutes from Port Allen Boat Harbor where several boat tour companies depart from. We are only a 10 minute drive to PMRF -Pacific Missle Range Facility- and only a 2 minute drive to KVMH -Kauai Veterans Memorial Hospital- for those business travelers looking for west Kauai accomodation We are located on the main strip of Waimea Town just a stones throw away from the ocean and Waimea Pier. Everything you need is a short walk from your room including Big Save and Ishihara Market -local grocery stores- JoJos Shave Ice known as one of the best shave ice locations in Hawaii and Historic Waimea Theater for a more intimate less expensive movie experience to name a few. Theres plenty more nearby than the shops and local businesses however The road to Waimea Canyon referred to as The Grand Canyon of the Pacific starts less than a block away from our property. Waimea Canyon has much to offer including breath-taking views leisurely and challenging hikes bike trails and even a restaurant for refueling after an active day.
