Description
Year Built - 1903 Year Remodeled - 2016 Additional Property Description - The first luxury hotel in Toronto was built in 1903 and has been re-imagined for the 21st century. The focus of our 40 million dollar renovation was to showcase the old-world charm and vibrancy of Toronto with a complete transformation of our spacious guest rooms and meeting space plus lobby and restaurant and bar. While combining modern comfort and elegance we are excited to have restored the legendary hotel to palace-like grandeur. The hotel is conveniently located in the financial and entertainment districts plus close to shopping and the Metro Toronto Convention Centre as well as the Sony Centre and The Distillery District plus Eaton Centre and the St. Lawrence Farmers Market. Our 301 over-sized guestrooms and suites have recently been renovated combining sophistication with modern amenities. It truly redefines luxury for our most discerning travelers. Accommodations in this iconic hotel feature the finest in furnishings plus custom bedding and vintage crown moldings - all with impeccably appointed marble bathrooms perfecting every aspect of the guest experience at this legendary destination. Both dining establishments - namely Victorias Restaurant and Consort Bar - were included in the revitalization process at The Omni King Edward Hotel. Executive Chef Daniel Schick and his culinary team have updated the dining menus to include local seasonal ingredients and classic cooking methods. The long-standing tradition at the hotel of Afternoon Tea - a favourite activity of families and people-watchers since the turn of the 20th century - will continue Friday through Sunday. Hotel is 100 percent non-smoking.Directions
