Tamarind Village is a unique and charming Lanna style boutique property that nestles in the heart of historic Chiang Mai. Surrounded by ancient temples and quaint shopping streets it takes its name from a magnificent 200 year old tamarind tree that shelters the hotel in a shady embrace. Tamarind Village was conceived around a series of garden courtyards incorporating typical northern Thai architectural elements into the hotels over all design. The result is a property that exudes a sense of 00place that is firmly rooted in Chiang Mais unique heritage. Set back from the main road a cooling bamboo archway lines the pathway to the entrance. Intimate serene and relaxing Tamarind Village is an oasis of calm and tranquility the perfect base for exploring Chiang Mai and beyond.Tamarind Village will be undertaking improvement to some of our rooms between the dates of May 15 and June 30 2015 and again from September 1 October 31 2015. All work will take place daily between the hours of 10am and 4pmPhase 1 May 15 June 30 201512 Guest Rooms in total - 6 Lanna rooms 6 Lanna Deluxe rooms in building 1 Work will be carried out on a maximum of 2 - 4 rooms at any one time and buffer rooms will be blocked in our system around the rooms being worked on to keep the disturbance to in house guests to a minimum. Phase 2 September 1 October 31 2015Creation of two Lanna Suites by combining 4 Lanna rooms. This work will be focused in Building 5 towards the back of the property and again there will be a buffer block of rooms around the work to avoid locating guests too close to the work being carried out.
