The 4 Star Riffelhaus 1853 is located 2500m above sea level and offers panoramic views of the mountains around Zermatt from all rooms. It has a traditional restaurant and offers FREE WIFI. The property is located directly on the ski slopes and hiking trails- making it a great starting point to go skiing- mountain biking or relaxing in natural surroundings. The traditionally furnished rooms at have Cable TV and bathrooms with bathrobes and hairdryers. Dating from 1853- this historic mountain hotel features a sun terrace with direct views of the Matterhorn. The restaurant serves classic Swiss cuisine. The Riffelhaus 1853 also has a sauna- an outdoor whirlpool in the wellness area and an internet terminal. It can only be reached by hiking- cycling or by mountain railway from Zermatt. The ride takes 23 minutes. Additional Information - Children aged 2 and under stay free in the room with parents and in existing bedding. Children aged 3-8 years pay 20CHF per night for an extra bed. Children aged 9-12 pay 95CHF per night for an extra bed. Children over 13 pay 120CHF per night for an extra bed. The hotel reserves the right to without prior notification cancel any reservation with an invalid or incomplete credit card number.
