The Hotel was constructed in 2013. The Residence Inn by Marriott Des Moines Downtown is the newest Marriott in Des Moines. We are the only all-suite, extended stay hotel in downtown Des Moines, which sits on the scenic river, close to Principal Park, Court Avenue Entertainment District, Science Center of Iowa and the Iowa Events Center. We have spacious studio, one-bedroom and two-bedroom suites, all with a living area, a fully equipped kitchen, and complimentary Wi-Fi. Grab a bite to eat each morning at our complimentary hot breakfast buffet. Unwind at our complimentary evening social Monday through Wednesday which includes a light meal or snacks and beverages. To keep in the best shape, stop by our fitness center and indoor pool for strengthening your body and soul. Experience Midwestern hospitality at our downtown Des Moines hotel. All registering guests must be 21 years or older. Our on-site parking garage is available for a 15/day fee. Travel 1.7 miles and merge onto Interstate 25 South via the ramp to Interstate 35 Business/Des Moines. Travel 24.4 miles and continue onto Interstate 235 West. Travel 5.9 miles to exit 8A toward Des Moines/Downtown/Iowa Events Center. Travel 0.1 mile. Keep right at the fork in the road and follow signs for 3rd Street. Travel 0.1 mile and turn left onto 3rd Street. Travel 0.9 mile to Vine Street and tuen left again. Travel 0.1 mile to SW 1st Street and turn right. The hotel will be on the right. Direction to the Property from Airport DSM - Travel south on Cowles Drive toward the airport exit. Turn left onto Fleur Drive. Travel 3.4 miles to West Martin Luther King Jr Parkway and turn right. Travel 1.5 miles to SW 1st Street and turn left. The hotel will be on the left. Direction to the Property from Airport IKV - Travel north on SE Convenience Boulevard.
