Description

In the heart of the parisian golden triangle, this classy venue contains a 26 rooms hotel, with six suites and four junior suites, a restaurant, a lounge bar, reception rooms and a spa. This 18th century building became the headquarters of general pershing in 1917 and later the circle for the american legion. The most talented architects have given rooms and decoration their meaning and rhythm. Andrée putman brought soul and rigorous grace to the general organization of the various rooms. She designed the furniture for every room. Each room is organized around a large three-panel mirror and a wooden bed lacquered in ivory, as high as a boat. The bathrooms have been covered in 'pâte de verre' mosaics in various hues of opalescent white and ivory enhanced by golden cabochons. Bathtubs are set on balls of white marble. Behind the discreet front, the living areas are set around a patio opening onto the sky. An incredible garden rises vertically along more than thirty meters.
