Description

It is one of the oldest hotels in the city of Naples. It has been open since 1890 as the famous German painter Christian Wilhelm Allers tells us in his book Beautiful Naples. He regularly stayed there in 1892 and said that a good traveller .will not regret staying in a hotel close to the station or lunching in one of the good trattorias close by; and he continues this is why, when I come to Naples, I always go to a hotel near the station, and more precisely, the Rebecchino hotel, also known as the Romano Palace, overlooking Corso Garibaldi which is always buzzing with life. Salvatore Di Giacomo, a famous Neapolitan writer also mentions it in his Assunta Spina, renaming it the Rebecchino Inn. FACTS: the name Rebecchino comes from Rebecca : a musical instrument of Arabic origin that young minstrels from the fourteenth century used to entertain guests in the inns. MANAGEMENT: it has always been directly managed by the Gentile family who recently carried out full restoration work, fitting it with every kind of comfort.

By Train - We are 200 m from Central Station of Naples Piazza Garibaldi, in the historical and commercial center of the city. By Plane - You can reach Hotel in 10 minutes from the airport by taxi, taxi rate .16,00 (ask prefixed rate before taxi departure). From airport you can catch also the direct bus called ALIBUS, arriving at Central Station of Naples Piazza Garibaldi. From Piazza Garibaldi going to Corso Garibaldi you arrive at hotel after few meters. By car - from freeway follow exit NAPOLI STAZIONE arriving in Piazza Garibaldi
