The 3 star Hotel Mundal has 35 rooms of various sizes and price ranges and all the historical rooms have either a sea or mountain view and feature a double or twin beds- a work desk or seating area and a complimentary WIFI internet access. The private bathroom is equipped with either a bathtub or a shower. There are a number of comfortable sitting rooms including the library- a seating area by the fireplace- the music salon with a grand piano- the bar- the billiards room and the meeting room- all with original features and furniture. The natural reserve Boyaoyri and an area of the Jostedalsbreen National Park are easily accessible from the hotel. The Norwegian Glacier Museum- designed by the renowned Norwegian architect Sverre Fehn- is also in Fjaerland. Fjaerland is also known as the Book Town of Norway- where there are 12 book shops selling second-hand books in old boathouses and barns. Fjaerland is located in Sogn og Fjordane County and is perfect as starting point for day trips elsewhere in the County- including an hour-long travel to three Stave Churches. Astruptunet Museum- the home of visual artist Nikolai Astrup- is also 50-minutes away. Additional Information - Must provide the hotel with the security code on the credit card. Children aged 2 and under stay free in parents bed. Children aged 3 - 12 years pay 200 NOK per day- including breakfast. Children aged 13 and over are considered an adult. The hotel reserves the right to without prior notification cancel any reservation with an invalid or incomplete credit card number.
