Description
Located in the city centre, MOTEL ONE MANCHESTER-PICCADILLY is opening in summer 2015. The city of Manchester is renowned for its diverse architecture, culture, music scene, scientific and engineering output, sports and fully developed public transportation system. The citys remarkable mix of architecture is ranging from Victorian to Gothic, Modern and Contemporary. Pay a visit to one of the many museums or galleries, or visit the historical John Rylands Library, or famous Manchester Cathedral. Enjoy an extensive shopping day by visiting the many high street shops and independent retailers. From market stalls through to high end designer labels, Manchester has it all. Piccadilly Station is the main train station of Manchester, guaranteeing an excellent connection with 14 national rail lines, coupled with an integrated tram station, linking you to all parts of the city and beyond. Manchesters renowned music scene can be seen in the bar, being pictured through a wall full of artificial records and a monitor wall showing famous music clips. In the breakfast area the motif of the Manchester Bee from the citys crest, covers the wall, reminding of Manchesters effort during the Industrial Revolution, at a time when Manchester was taking a leading role in new forms of mass production. Honey coloured materials such as wood and metal support the theme of the busy bee. The entire city emblem with the bees sitting on the globe covers the coffee station in a collage with an aerial photograph of Manchester. The citys history as a manufacturing and trading centre for cotton is reflected in the wide choice of different fabrics and upholstered furniture. Enjoy this unique atmosphere during a coffee or drink in the evening. All our rooms are equipped with a comfortable double or queen-size bed, flat screen TV, WiFi, air conditioning as well as a bathroom in dark granite glas optic with monsoon shower, hair dryer and toilet.Directions
