Description

Completed in 1912 by renowned Santiagoan architects Montt and Larrain the building of Matildas originally served as a one family residence. It took the present owners 5 years to renovate the building - they took special care to make the restauration minimally invasive preserving the original image of the house. Matilda opened its doors in May of 2015 complete with 17 excuisite rooms all equiped with private bathrooms. Located in the most historical and intrigueing neighborhood of Santiago Matildas attracts the guest who is tired of conventionality and banality of mainstream tourism - someone who looks for unique impressions and profound understanding of the soul and the history of the location and the country.
