Welcome to The Dude and all its authentic characteristics- a real boutique hotel with a very unique and exciting style mix. We are a small but very luxurious hotel with a discreet and private ambience- in fact- the character of The Dude is rather one of a private mansion- a -staying at my friends place- home- than a normal hotel open to anyone. The owner- Alexander Schmidt-Vogel- call him The Dude- fulfilled after twenty five years of travelling his dream of a private mansion for sophisticated guests. The building dates back to 1822 and is one of the oldest in the historic centre of Berlin with most of Berlins cultural landmarks nearby- like the Gendarmenmarkt- Friedrichstrasse- Museumsinsel- Schlossplatz- Rathaus- Alexanderplatz and the river Spree and many hot restaurants and clubs are in our neighborhood as well. Our service philosophy is -permanent spoiling in privacy- and our guests enjoy the cosy and warm ambience of our rooms and salons- The highly rated gourmet food- spectacular wines- cocktails and 160 open rare whiskies of our Brooklyn Beef Club- one of Berlins iconic restaurants. Our Whisper Club- where your breakfast and lunch is freshly prepared a la carte by one of our chefs. And our -closed door policy- ensures total privacy for our guests.
