Hotel Malaspina, realized in an ancient Florentine home of the XIX century, stands in one of the most beautiful squares of the city, near the historical centre, the railway station and Fortezza da Bassos Congress Centre. We have easy access for disabled people. Parking facilities available at garages outside the Hotel. The 31 bedrooms provided with all modern comforts, the parlor with the veranda, the pleasant bar and the various rooms elegantly furnished, create a feeling of warm hospitality. A kind and friendly hospitality is a tradition of the Malaspina Family, the same family which, in the middle age, received Dante Alighieri, as a guest at Fosdinovo Castle. Set in one of the grandest and nicest piazzas of Florence, Piazza dell' Indipendenza, the Hotel Malaspina offers welcoming lounge of charm and character. The bedrooms are furnished and decorated to a high standard and offer every modern comfort ( Tv via satellite, mini bar, air conditioning, direct telephone line, internet connection). Situated in the north-west quarter of the historic centre, within walking distance of the main historical sites, the Malaspina has only recently been converted into a Hotel and is housed in a fine 19th century Palazzo. It is still owned by the noble Torrigiani Malaspina family, owners of the Torrigiani Garden in Florence and Malaspina Castle in Fosdinovo, famous for hosting Dante when he fled Florence. City tax 3.50 euro per person per night.
