This rural hotel shares the same attractions as its village neighbor - the ML Laugarvatn - but is built on a much smaller and more intimate scale in a picturesque lakeside setting. It is ideal for seeing the big picture though with brilliant panoramic lakeside views. In an area rich in Icelands religious history it is located near the 12th-century Skalholt Cathedral. The hotel have in total 28 rooms all with en-suite bathrooms. The on-site restaurant has a lake view and you can walk out of the restaurant and on to a large terrace. There is a beautiful lounge on the ground floor with a fire place and another lounge with a TV. The hotel has one large and two small conference rooms. Hotel Edda Laugarvatn IKI is only 50 m from Laugarvatn Fontana Geothermal steambaths and there is a possibility to rent bathrobes and slippers to walk down to Fontana.

Keflavik Take 2nd right at roundabout to Hafnarfjordur. Follow signs for Reykjavik along road Reykjanesbraut. Turn right on bridge to Miklabraut to Vesturlandsvegur and drive for 2.7 km. Turn right on Sudurlandsvegur and follow signs for Selfoss on Road 1 for 56 km. Turn left before entering Selfoss to road number 35 - Biskupstungnavegur. Drive for 25 km and then turn left on road number 37 - Laugarvatnsvegur and drive for 12 km to Laugarvatn and arrive at the hotel on right. Keflavik Airport
