Description

Hatton Court is a reassuring size. not large and impersonal nor too small. As a former splendid Cotswold home the feeling is one of being eminently comfortable as opposed to grand. Nothing is hurried. The reception is very much a lounge with armchairs magazines and an open fireplace for those chillier days. Next door the bar is more a place to relax take tea and talk than rush. The care taken to prepare the food combined with smiling service is complimented by the thought that has gone into creating the restaurant. Warm soft furnishings balance the picture windows that allow you to take in the broad horizons beneath the escarpment to the Malvern Hills and the Severn Estuary. The peace of the surrounding Cotswold countryside and comfortable bedrooms some with whirlpool baths make for a goodnights sleep.

Birmingham Intl Take the A45 towards Coventry looking for signs for the M42 westbound. Join the M42 westbound towards M5 Bromsgrove and Worcester. The M42 merges with the M5. You need to take the southbound carriageway towards Worcester Evesham Bristol. Leave the M5 at junction 11 and follow the signs for Gloucester. At the end of the dual carriageway take the second exit from the roundabout. At the next roundabout take the third exit. At the next roundabout take the second exit. Go straight over at the next 2 sets of traffic lights. At the next roundabout take the first exit left onto B4073 Painswick Road. Hatton Court is 2 miles along this road at the top of the hill after you have passed under the motorway bridge Heathrow Airport Take M40 westbound to Junction 15. Take A419/417 north for about 20 miles. At roundabout by Air Balloon take first exit off roundabout. At bottom of hill take A46 south towards Painswick / Stroud / Bath. In Painswick village turn right onto B4073. Hotel is 3 miles along this road on the left. Lulsgate Leave the airport and head south on the A38. Turn right onto the A368 towards Weston Supermare. The A368 becomes the A371 as you cross the M5. Turn right onto the A370 signposted M5. Join the M5 heading northbound towards Bristol Gloucester Birmingham The Midlands. Leave the M5 at junction 11 and follow the signs for Gloucester. At the end of the dual carriageway take the second exit from the roundabout. At the next roundabout take the third exit.
