Description

Built in 1891 the Harbor View Hotel has established itself as a landmark of Vineyard hospitality. Rich in history and lore the hotel is situated on Starbucks Neck overlooking the Edgartown Lighthouse and Chappaquiddick Island. The statley elm trees and whaling captains cottages of the late 1800s surrounding the hotel lend an air of Old World charm while its sprawling veranda invites guests to relax on a rocking chair and enjoy sweeping views of both the sea and the yachts of Edgartown Harbor.

Directions

Martha`s Vineyard Airport MVY-Marthas Vineyard Airport-0 mi N At the exit from the Dukes Country Airport- turn left. You are now on the West Tisbury Road. Follow the signs for approximately five miles to Edgartown. After passing Edgartown School on the right- continue to the four-way stop. Proceed straight. At the next stop sign- turn right onto Main Street. Follow Main Street through downtown Edgartown. Although there is no official stop sign- there is a natural hesitancy in traffic at the intersection of Main Street and Water Street. The Compass Bank is on the left. Follow North Water Street about 1/2 mile and you will see the Harbor View Hotel on your left.
