Part sculpture and part contemporary tropical oasis upon first glance El Blok does not seem logical. But take a step inside and what you thought at first made no sense at all will make you change the way you thought about beach hotels. The structure itself is both a foreboding brutalist accomplishment and and an ode to the fluidity and motion of the sea just outside our door. Inspired by the coral reefs that surround Vieques patterns of natural light and fresh air play and dance across the space and conjure up ethereal feelings of being under water and in the atmosphere all at once. The lack of hard angles and straight lines evoke a soft feminine feel while the reinforced concrete and perforated panels provide protection and seclusion against the outside world. El Blok is separate from and very much a part of its immediate surroundings all at once. All rooms feature Private Balconies or decks with either water or pastoral views Magnaflex Memory Foam Mattress peak-a-boo showers with rainfall shower heads in room safes mini-chill fridge open clothing storage and work space. Rooms do not have telephones televisions or rollaway bedding. El Blok can not accommodate guests under the age of 18. Pets are welcome with a non-refundable USD150 deposit. Vieques Airport Vieques Airport 10Km North to the property. Head northeast on PR-200 for approximately 3.6KM. Turn right onto PR-201 and continue for about 3.7KM. Reach Playa Sunbay by foot as well as the Malecon and pick up points for Mosquito Bay - the world brightest bioluminescent Bay.
