Cross-country and snowshoe enthusiasts can enjoy the trails at Great Glen trails- Jackson Ski Touring Center- Mt. Washington Valley Ski Touring Center- King Pine Ski Area- Bretton Woods Resort or Bear Notch Ski Touring. The area also offers ice fishing- hiking- ice climbing- and snowmobiling. For the less adventurous- there is tax-free shopping at the outlets along Route 16. The motel is a 2.5 hour ride from Boston and 1.5 hours from Portland- Maine.
