Description

Set in magnificent grounds Branston Hall Hotel is the perfect setting for a break away from the hectic pace of everyday life. Set in 88 acres of unspoilt parkland the main building dates back to 1885. The restoration to its former splendour shows off the attraction of a country house with the comfort of a 50 bedroom hotel. The old hall originates from the Leslie Melville family and was once a grand home accommodating the family and their servants. After the departure of the family the building was soon taken over to provide shelter and hospital wards throughout the Second World War. The Council continued the hospital after the war but soon no longer required the facility and the building fell into disuse. In 1982 a private company bought Branston Hall with its land to restore the building and return the grandeur once known to the Hall. Branston Hall is located just a few miles from the historic centre of Lincoln and is only twenty minutes away from Newark and the A46 providing connections to all main routes with the A1 being a short journey away. Lincoln and Newark have train stations and good bus transfers with East Midlands and the Doncaster Robin Hood Airport all within an hour drive away.
