The Hotel was constructed in 1994 and was remodeled in 2004. Home away from home, that is how our guests should guest feel, when they are staying at BEST WESTERN PLUS Hotel Excelsior. The BEST WESTERN PLUS Hotel Excelsior is a four-star hotel only a few steps away from the main station, the pedestrian area and the historical old town. Behind the youthfully styled facade of the hotel you will find 77 individual rooms including non-smoking rooms, junior suites and suites located on four floors. All the rooms are equipped with bath or shower, WC, beauty mirror, hairdryer, telephone, fax connection, color TV, pay-TV, radio and mini-bar. Our restaurant Zum Buergerhof serves authentic Thuringian and international cuisine. Enjoy a refreshing visit to our fitness center with sauna and a solarium. We feature two meeting rooms for up to 35 people. Both offer daylight, ventilation and black-out facilities. Equipment overhead projector, screen, flip chart, video projector, slide projector, video recorder, television screen, CD player, video camera, lectern, ISDN connections and W-LAN.
