The Best Western Plus Emerald Isle Hotel is located on the south end of beautiful Vancouver Island on the far west coast of Canada. Take a relaxing ferry ride from Vancouver, B.C. or Anacortes, Washington and you will be in Sidney-by-the-Sea in just an hour and a half or you can fly into the International Airport which is just 10 minutes away. Our 64 room property is an easy 32 kilometers, 20 miles, north of Victoria, the capital of British Columbia and we are just minutes from the Victoria International Airport, the BC Ferry Terminal and the Anacortes Ferry Terminal. Also close by are the Butchart Gardens, Butterfly Gardens, Shaw Ocean Discovery Centre, the renowned Mary Winspear Center, amazing whale watching, many organic farms, wineries, outstanding golf courses, great fishing, kayaking and hiking. Direction to the Property from Anacortes Ferry Terminal. - Exit Anacortes Ferry and follow signs for Sidney. Once on the main street which is Beacon Avenue, the Emerald Isle will be on your right side, just past Resthaven Drive to the Best Western Plus Emerald Isle Motor Inn. Direction to the Property from Vancouver. - Drive off of the BC Ferry at Swartz Bay, then take a left off Highway 17 at the second traffic light, Beacon Avenue, into Sidney. The Best Western Plus Emerald Isle Motor Inn is on the left at the first traffic light, Beacon Avenue at 7th. Direction to the Property from Victoria Intl Airport. - Depart airport on only road out. Follow traffic circle directions for Number 17 Pat Bay Highway North-BC Ferries. There are several turns to negotiate within this traffic circle. Merge onto Highway 17, stay in right lane - next traffic light is Beacon Avenue, merge right off highway. The Best Western Plus Emerald Isle Motor Inn is at first light on left, 7th Street, attached to Smittys Restaurant. Approximately six minutes drive from Airport to hotel.
