The Hotel was constructed in 1737 and was remodeled in 1999. The Best Western Exeter Lord Haldon Country Hotel is set on large private grounds with 25 suite rooms which enjoy stunning views over the rolling Devon hills. Our hotel offers the peace of the countryside and yet is easily accessible from all major local routes, stations and airport. The city of Exeter is four miles away and the Cathedral boasts the longest unbroken gothic vault in the world. A short drive will take you on to Dartmoor, or to one of the many local sandy beaches. Devon boasts a huge array of leisure pursuits. Our Courtyard Restaurant is well known for the excellence of its cuisine and warmth of its service. On warm summer evenings it is a joy to dine in the courtyard, surrounded by the many rare and interesting plants. All our meeting and conference rooms enjoy good natural light and the quiet calming sounds of country life, but can be equipped with up to the minute technology, internet access can be provided and the whole hotel has access to Wi- Fi.
